MY STORY
As founder of Pursuit of Champagne, I have always had a passion for champagne and the broader wine industry.
I am a third-generation member of a Barossa Valley cooper’s family, spending my childhood in the cooperage. In these formative years, I gained a unique understanding of the art of producing oak barrels and the role they played in wine maturation. Throughout my teenage years I earned pocket money in the vineyards alongside my maternal grandmother, which gave me a deep appreciation of Barossa terroir and viticulture.
This foundation led to experience across many areas of the wine industry, including undertaking a viticulture course and then planting, training, and managing Riesling in Eden Valley, alongside several other business ventures - all while enjoying my love of great champagne and hospitality.
Over the past 20 years, my fascination with Champagne has taken me to the region many times, where I’ve come to understand it as a place unlike any other one where business and brand are inseparable from cultural history and social fabric. This passion has driven me to undertake numerous masterclasses and undertake the Masters of Champagne with the Wine Scholar Guild.
It has also led me to develop my business and be the exclusive Australian importer of a carefully selected group of exceptional Artisan Champagne Producers
I look forward to sharing this passion with you at champagne events, tastings and masterclasses exchanging stories, creating new ones, and exploring the world of Champagne together.
